Instant Stress Relief: 5 Easy(and Fun) Steps To Stress Relief:-)
By Stress Free on Aug 6, 2008 in Stress Relief
There are definitely a number of ways to relieve daily stress; from things like breathing exercises and finding a relaxing quiet place to clear your thoughts to listening to audio similar to the Holothink’s Totally Tranquil Program…
And these are all very good tools to managing your stress. Sometimes though, what you really need is to get silly and laugh uncontrollably (even if it’s at yourself!).
Here is what I mean. Check out the video below and then follow the 5 simple steps to instantly relieve your stress today:
And with that here are the 5 steps to your own instant stress relief:
- Get your hands on a wig or crazy hat - put it on your head
- Get into your pj’s
- Put on your favorite toe-stomping track (make sure it’s a tune that you can’t help but dance to and play it loud)
- Move your body like no-one is watching - even if it means moving it ‘ugly’:-)
- Laugh at yourself until your sides hurt. Then laugh some more…
Get a friend or friends to join in. Hey, if you can muster up the courage, do this at work and get your colleagues involved. Work after all is usually the cause of your stress anyway:-)
Have fun!

My boyfriend bought me a pig that sings “I’m too sexy for my shirt” and waddles–with a chorus of oinking to the tune. He ordered me to dance with the pig daily for stress release…its along the same lines of silliness.

Very cute video. Now try imagining someone else doing just that. For example, your Boss, who’s so good at increasing your stress level.

LOL Great point thanks Greg! My boss is pretty huge so picturing him wearing a wig and in pj’s would be a great stress reliever.

Thanks Moses was hoping to get that msg across. Some of the stress relief stuff out there (even some of the posts here) are way too serious.
GG I am going to pull out that track from an old album and have it available to crank up when the day gets too stressful - thanks for the idea:-)
